Nicasa Behavioral Health Services is a CARF-accredited nonprofit addiction treatment provider serving Lake County and Northern Illinois from its Round Lake location.

The center offers outpatient and intensive outpatient substance use treatment for adults and youth, alongside DUI evaluation services, harm reduction programming and evidence-based therapies delivered in both English and Spanish.

Outpatient Addiction Treatment in Lake County

Nicasa’s Round Lake site provides outpatient and intensive outpatient (IOP) substance use treatment for adults and adolescents, addressing alcohol, opioids, fentanyl, cocaine, benzodiazepines, marijuana and more.

Treatment draws on a range of approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, relapse prevention, 12-step facilitation, the Matrix Model and contingency management.

Court-Approved DUI Evaluations and Harm Reduction Support

Since 1988, the 19th Judicial Circuit in Lake County has required all DUI evaluations to be completed through Nicasa, making it the court-designated provider for this service.

The DUI program includes a 10-hour Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Risk Reduction Program available on weekdays, weekends and virtually.

Nicasa also offers community based harm reduction services, including free naloxone, substance test strips, overdose response education and linkage to shelter and essential resources.

Bilingual and Affordable Care

Nicasa’s Round Lake location serves communities throughout Lake County and Northern Illinois with in-person and telehealth services, including bilingual care in English and Spanish.

Nicasa accepts most insurance plans, Medicaid and offers a sliding fee scale based on income.
