Riverside Drug and Alcohol Services provides a chemical dependency program on the UnityPoint Health Trinity Rock Island campus.

The program treats substance use disorders in adults, adolescents and children through medical detox, inpatient care and outpatient services affiliated with the Robert Young Center for Community Mental Health.

Riverside supports individuals and families with a trauma-informed, disease-model approach that emphasizes abstinence, life skills and lasting recovery.

Comprehensive Chemical Dependency Treatment

Riverside offers a full continuum of care from medically monitored detox and diagnostic evaluation to intensive outpatient and outpatient counseling.

Medical detox includes medical and nutrition evaluations, withdrawal-symptom treatment, monitoring and discharge planning.

The program also provides 24-hour emergency treatment and crisis intervention for adults and youth.

Grounded in a 12-step philosophy treatment blends counseling, group sessions, recreational programming, relaxation techniques and positive-living instruction.

Clients connect with Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous along with peer support specialists who bring lived recovery experience.

Aftercare helps sustain progress well beyond the initial phase of treatment.

Behavioral Health and Legal Support Coordination

Through its ties to the Robert Young Center, Riverside integrates addiction care with longstanding regional behavioral health resources.

The program also collaborates with Rock Island County Probation and Drug Court, offering treatment alternatives for people whose legal involvement stems from substance use or mental health conditions.
