The Belmont Women’s House in Chicago, Illinois, offers a sober living environment for women seeking a successful recovery from substance use. They are A Fresh Start location and located near coffee shops, brunch restaurants, cafes and eateries with sidewalks for exercise and simple travel.

The center does not provide help with job placement or rent, so residents need to have payment sources in place.

Residential Living Environment

The house features a common living area for socialization and a fully equipped chef’s kitchen. Rent includes cable television and Wifi. A coin laundry is on site.

Residents are expected to abide by a curfew, which is 11:00 pm for the first 30 days and 12:00 am after. Friday through Saturday after the first 30 days has a curfew of 2:00 am.

Substance Use Recovery and Sobriety

Residents have a weekly recovery meeting in the common area. Residents who relapse are discharged from the home and referred to a local detox facility.

Random drug screens and breathalyzer tests are administered. The center utilizes 12 step programs to facilitate sobriety.
