Ponessa Behavioral Health’s headquarters is based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. They accept Medicaid, Medicare, TRICARE, and a number of other insurance providers.

Substance use treatment is offered to clients ages 13 and older. Treatment is offered in the forms of individual, family, couples and group therapy. Therapy varies in frequency and intensity based on client needs.

Medication for Opioid Use Disorder

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) is offered to clients ages 18 and older who have been diagnosed with opioid use disorder. Vivitrol and Suboxone are administered as part of client treatment.

Specialized Treatment for Co-occurring Disorders

Psychiatric medical services evaluate those with a co-occurring mental health disorder and administer psychiatric medications as needed. In addition to medication clients also receive co-occurring outpatient services and attend co-occurring outpatient group therapy.

School Based Services

School based services provide treatment at a child or adolescent’s school. This type of treatment prevents interruption of a child’s school day and allows the center to collaborate with the youngster’s school and pediatric provider to provide quality care. If being outdoors can help, Penn Medicine Park is just down the street as is the local YMCA.

Children and teens who receive these services suffer from anxiety, depression, mood disorders, substance abuse and problems at school and home. Therapists focus on the youngster’s strengths and include families as part of the treatment process.

If kids need more intensive care, they can be referred to another Ponessa center for the partial hospitalization program.

Drug Rehab
