About Grace Home Vance

Located in the rural community of Vance, South Carolina, Grace Home’s Vance campus is a women-only addiction treatment center operated by Hebron Colony Ministries. It’s been around since 1947. Surrounded by the peaceful landscapes of rural Orangeburg County and not far from the waters of Lake Marion, this facility offers women space and serenity to step away from addiction to focus on themselves and reconnect with God. They’ve a separate center for men.

Both Grace Home and Hebron’s main campus in Boone, North Carolina, are deeply rooted in spirituality. Unlike rehabs that take a secular approach to recovery, Hebron Colony views substance dependence as a manifestation of sin. They focus on regeneration, not rehabilitation, with the premise that when we surrender to God, we can be free from the chains of addiction.

Christ-Centered Residential Recovery in a Home-Like Setting

Grace Home offers a 13-week inpatient program specifically designed for adult women who are struggling with substance use. This faith-based program structures daily life around bible study, chapel service, and counseling with staff, many of whom have completed the program themselves. There’s an onsite chapel for prayer and worship, and outdoor green spaces for reflection and group activities. Lake Marion isn’t far off.

More Than Rehab: A Life Transformation

Residents won’t find medical-assisted treatment or mental health diagnoses at Grace Home. Instead, they will learn to lean on scriptural life applications and spiritual discipline. With that said, it’s important to note this facility welcomes women of all faiths—or no faith at all. Religion is neither a requirement nor a barrier to care.

Removing Barriers to Care with Community Support

They don’t take insurance at Grace Home, and they don’t need to. Aside from a small, refundable medical deposit, there’s no cost for the program. This makes recovery truly accessible, especially for women who don’t have insurance or the means to pay for residential rehab. Outside donations keep the program running.
