The Dawn Center, operated by Tri-County Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, is a nonprofit drug and alcohol rehab in Orangeburg, South Carolina, serving residents of Orangeburg, Bamberg and Calhoun counties.

The Cook Road campus offers adult outpatient counseling, Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP), Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) and adolescent outpatient and inpatient services through the affiliated William J. McCord Adolescent Treatment Facility.

Established in 1972 and accredited by The Joint Commission, the organization combines evidence based treatment with prevention, intervention and community education.

Addiction Treatment Programs at The Dawn Center

Adult services begin with a comprehensive assessment to determine the most appropriate level of care, which may include individual, group or family counseling.

Clients with moderate to severe substance use concerns can step into the IOP, which meets three days per week for three hours per day.

Programs focus on relapse prevention, life-skills development and connection to the self-help community.

MAT is available for eligible individuals managing opioid or alcohol use disorders, with options including Suboxone, Subutex, other buprenorphine medications and Vivitrol.

Adolescents have access to outpatient services and a licensed psychiatric inpatient program for substance use and co-occurring disorders.
