UNSHAKEABLE, the Las Vegas nonprofit that guides women recovering from mental health trauma and addiction toward financial independence marked its tenth anniversary. The celebration took place at F1 Arcade inside The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.

Ten Years of Operation

Founded in 2016 in Nevada, UNSHAKEABLE serves women recovering from human trafficking, domestic and sexual violence, addiction and homelessness. Its Empower to Employ program helped 750 women via their signature I AM Series and personalized career coaching to find employment.

Over 82% of participants have secured steady jobs. That means improved financial stability and peace of mind that comes with stable income, routines and purpose. They keep recovery going long after they graduate.

The Model in Action

UNSHAKEABLE partners with SafeNest, Safe House, Foundation For Recovery and West Care, so a woman arriving at one door can be connected to housing, clinical care and job training via one coordinated team. Trauma and addiction are signs of co-occurring disorders so integrated care is the standard among behavioral treatment centers.

Trauma changes how the nervous system responds to stress, which drives addiction. Trauma-informed approaches prioritize choice and collaboration and are best practice across residential mental health treatment facilities serving women.

Care in The Silver State & Beyond

Anyone in Nevada or the other 49 states can find help in their neighborhood. Take a look through our browsable directory, organized by location.
