About Phoenix House Long Island City Residential

Nestled in Long Island City, New York in close proximity to the East River is the drug recovery facility, Phoenix House. They serve men and women of all backgrounds who are struggling with substance use. They offer gender specific care.

They have two programs here: a residential program and an outpatient treatment program. The quality of these programs is nationally recognized as they’ve been voted the number one addiction treatment facility in New York by Newsweek.

The residential and outpatient program operates out of a gated building. There are scenic views of the nearby East River and you’re close to shopping centers and commercial establishments as well. This location is easily accessible by public transportation.

There is a strong sense of community throughout this facility. As you move through the building, you’ll find different community rooms and comfortable living spaces. This provides you with a welcoming and supportive environment to navigate your treatment.

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is available with the use of buprenorphine and naltrexone. They also partner with nearby methadone clinics as well if this might be a better approach to your recovery.

Their approach to care is one that’s rooted in evidence-based practices but they also recognize the importance of trauma-based care too. Some of the supports that will help you reframe your thinking is through their comprehensive health and wellness program. You’ll have access to yoga and a gym, allowing you to build healthy habits.

There’s also a full service dining hall with nutritious options and a variety of choices for all meal times.
