About Valley Improvement Programs Inc

Valley Improvement Programs (VIP DUI) is a state-licensed provider offering court and DMV-mandated DUI programs across Southern California. There’s a center in Upland, but it has temporarily closed. There are other locations in Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga.

They deliver structured counseling and education for first-time and multiple DUI offenders. With a mission rooted in prevention and intervention since 1977, VIP DUI provides a clear path to positive behavior change.

DUI Compliance & Legal Support

State-licensed counselors are certified substance use disorder professionals with deep expertise in legal standards and assessments in their Wet & Reckless courses. Expenses are paid by cash or card, as insurance isn’t taken.

Treatment can last 6-18 months and integrates mandatory educational classes on substance effects and driving impairment with individual and group counseling sessions. This dual approach ensures legal requirements are met while addressing personal barriers to progress.

Early Intervention & DUI Education

The network also specializes in early intervention for those with substance misuse who may not meet addiction criteria. Their curriculum educates on the nature of addiction, recovery and the broader impacts of DUI by fostering insight and prevention for future wellness.

Starting a Path to Compliance

VIP DUI serves clients with in-person offices and offers telehealth or modified in-person options for greater access. As a longstanding organization licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services, they provide structured and confidential care.

Addiction Treatment Programs

  • Alcohol Rehab

If you’re ready to overcome alcohol use disorder, an alcohol rehab in California can give you the tools you need. Whether you need detox, inpatient treatment, or outpatient care, an alcohol program will help you build a new lifestyle based on healthy coping mechanisms, better relationships, and a new way of thinking about life.

  • Dual Diagnosis

Many people with addiction issues also have a mental health diagnosis, which is known as a dual diagnosis. Be sure to find a rehab in California that can treat both. Whether you need detox, inpatient treatment, or outpatient care, a dual diagnosis program will offer specific support for your mental health needs alongside traditional substance use treatment.

  • Drug Rehab

In California, a drug rehab provides a combination of therapy and education to help clients overcome substance misuse. In a drug treatment program you’ll not only receive treatment, but you’ll participate in activities, receive peer support, and learn how to have fun without substance use.

Insurance Coverage

  • Self-pay options

Paying the full cost of rehab in California yourself is called self-pay. Some people write a check, some electronically send payment to the treatment center, and others get a medical loan. There may be different fee structures depending on the level of care.

Therapies

  • Individual Therapy

During individual therapy in California, clients work with a professional to address specific individual concerns. Some of the topics covered in individual therapy include developing healthy coping skills, addressing past events that may have played a part in substance use, and building a support network.
