About Live and Let Live Alano Club

Live and Let Live Alano Club is a sober clubhouse offering a welcoming recovery community space for people in twelve-step and related programs in San Diego, California.

The club provides access to recovery meetings, peer support, family-inclusive resources and sober social events for adults and young adults.

Its mission centers on creating a safe, clean and sober environment where individuals in recovery, along with their friends and family, can connect and grow.

LGBTQ-Focused Sober Clubhouse

The Live and Let Live Alano Club is one of the older LGBTQ sober centers in the United States with a longstanding role in San Diego’s recovery ecosystem.

Located in the University Heights and Hillcrest area, the clubhouse offers an affirming space for LGBTQ individuals seeking community-based recovery support.

Members can access more than 37 twelve-step meetings each week with the facility open 365 days a year.

The clubhouse model offers a lower-barrier alternative to traditional treatment, emphasizing peer connection, accountability and personal growth alongside structured meeting access.

Community, Meetings, and Sober Social Events

Beyond meetings, the club hosts clean and sober events throughout the year helping members build friendships and rebuild social lives in recovery.

Family and friends are welcomed into the community reflecting the organization’s broader commitment to supporting everyone affected by addiction.

As a nonprofit sober clubhouse, the organization is community-funded and does not operate as a fee-based treatment provider.
