A Structured Spanish Speaking Addiction Program

This residential addiction program is offered through the Fresno County Hispanic Commission on Alcohol & Drug Abuse Services, Inc., a nonprofit corporation. The corporation provides English and Spanish speaking addiction treatment services to clients in urban and rural areas in Fresno County. The treatment is culturally sensitive to the unique obstacles faced by Hispanic men.

The residential addiction treatment facility is near Roeding Park, which has a Japanese garden, the Fresno Chaffee Zoo and picnic areas. Fresno City College is nearby and has many community resources.

The program is structured and provides substance use counseling and education and addresses co-occurring mental health disorders. Clients engage in individual and group counseling, as well as stress management and relapse prevention programs.

A Whole Body Treatment Approach

Clients in the program work on their mental and physical well being for a whole body treatment approach. The treatment includes gardening activities and opportunities for physical fitness. There’s a recreation room for relaxing and leisure pursuits, and reading is encouraged as a form of recreation.

Ancillary services provide the support you need to maintain your sobriety once you graduate from the program. Services include employment training and counseling, housing assistance and social skills development. This comprehensive, whole body approach to treatment provides the tools you need to transition out of treatment into a fulfilled life of recovery.
