About CURA Incorporated Residential Treatment Program

CURA Inc Residential Treatment Program in Fremont, California is a nonprofit long term residential treatment center focused on chemical dependency. This program has a strict code of conduct and asks everyone to commit for at least a year. It follows a structured daily routine where full participation is expected and there are clear rules about how residents should behave.

Inclusive Care for Veterans and LGBTQ+ Individuals

The program serves adults of all ages, including both young and older adults. It welcomes men and women, with separate housing options for each. People dealing with a dual diagnosis of both mental health and substance use issues can find support here.

The program also works with clients referred by the court system, including parolees and those under Proposition 36. Veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, and anyone who has faced trauma, sexual abuse or domestic violence are all supported as well.

Over 30 Years of Licensed, Drug Free Treatment

The program follows a drug free approach, with no medications used in treatment. The facility is fully certified and licensed by the State of California and has been operating continuously for over 30 years. Treatment plans are tailored to each individual and may include individual and group counseling, vocational counseling and health screenings as well as education, computer literacy training and help with employment related issues.

They accept Medicaid, Medicare and other state financed health insurance plans. If you prefer to pay out of pocket, self pay options are available and there may be payment assistance too.

Residential Capacity and Housing Arrangements

The residential facility has space for 51 people, housing 39 men and 12 women. Men stay in dorm style rooms with bunk beds, with up to nine people in each room. Women have double occupancy rooms with their own bathrooms and all residents prepare their own meals. There is also a Victorian style sober living home in Oakland that can house 34 men aged 18 and older.
