Oakview Behavioral Health Services, part of Southwest General and licensed by the state of Ohio as an addiction treatment center, provides adult outpatient addiction care in Middleburg Heights.

The program serves adults with substance use disorders and offers dual diagnosis support for those facing co-occurring mental health concerns.

Back to Basics Outpatient Treatment

Oakview’s core specialty is its “back to basics,” abstinence based outpatient recovery program rooted in the 12 step model.

Operating since 1985, this longstanding program delivers counseling and educational activities running three to five hours per day, with both morning and evening sessions to fit busy schedules.

Treatment uses an educational and group therapy approach, with sessions exploring addiction as a disease, the relapse process and prevention, motivation for change and behavioral modification.

Weekly aftercare supports adults as they transition back to daily life. One reviewer highlighted the team as “good and dedicated professionals and friendly as well,” and would “highly recommend” the program.

Assessment and Co-Occurring Care

As part of Southwest General’s broader behavioral health continuum, Oakview offers assessment services that evaluate psychiatric and physical, addictive and mental health needs.

Emergency assessments are available 24/7 through the Emergency Department, while non emergency assessments are scheduled during business hours, giving patients a clear path into care.

Oakview provides in person adult outpatient services at 7265 Old Oak Blvd. in Middleburg Heights, serving the greater Cleveland area and is fully accredited by DNV. The program accepts Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance.

Oakview’s IOP offers several days per week of therapy and support for adults needing more structure than traditional outpatient care while continuing to live at home in Middleburg Heights.
Co-Occurring Disorders Treatment

Insurance Coverage

Cognitive Behavior Therapy
