Praxis of Cleveland by Landmark Recovery is a live-in detox and rehab facility for adults who are on Medicaid. Despite the name, they’re based in Euclid, Ohio. You’ll be treated in a large facility with everything you need for recovery. With 60 beds, there’s a good chance you can start treatment without having to wait. Set on the shores of Lake Erie, nature provides a peaceful backdrop for healing.

To start your rehab process, you’ll go through medical detox. You’ll get medication to treat uncomfortable withdrawal symptoms. There’ll be trained staff to care for you throughout. Detox is different for everybody, but typically lasts between three and seven days.

Your plan will be created to meet your specific needs. They aim for holistic treatment of your mind, body and spirit. You’ll get a combination of solo counseling, group therapy and wellness teaching. You’ll have downtime for recreational activities.

What I appreciate about this place is that it offers mindfulness and meditation therapies. This type of training is excellent to train you to reduce the effects of stress on your body and mind. Stress is a major trigger of addictive behaviors. They’ll also take you through nutrition therapy. You’ll have an exercise program to work on your fitness.

What stands out to me about them is the variety of amenities. As physical health makes recovery easier, they have gym equipment, sports such as ping pong or volleyball and beautiful outdoor spaces.
