About Common Ground Pontiac

Common Ground Pontiac is a nonprofit CARF accredited Resource and Crisis Center in Pontiac, Michigan serving clients navigating mental health and substance use crises. With a recovery oriented mission, Common Ground meets people in their most urgent moments and helps them find a path forward no matter where they are starting from.

The center offers 24 hour crisis intervention and peer support with recovery coaching, trauma informed care, and connection to community based providers.

Crisis Access Hub for Substance Use Disorders

Common Ground’s Pontiac location functions as a crisis-access hub for people facing substance use challenges, including alcohol and opioid concerns, dual diagnosis needs, and co-occurring trauma. The on-site Sober Support Unit aims to connect clients with appropriate treatment within 24 hours, offering rapid stabilization and warm handoffs to ongoing care.

Support is delivered through trauma informed crisis intervention and peer recovery coaching, support groups, and linkage to other providers in the community.
