They have medical staff to oversee your withdrawal from the substances you’ve been taking. There are different types of withdrawal, both with and without medication. You’ll be well cared for. They’ll carefully oversee your progress and be on hand to help you with any symptoms that become uncomfortable or dangerous.

Once you’ve been through detox, you’ll begin your treatment plan. They’ll evaluate you physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. Your assessment results will be used to put together your individualized recovery plan.

Your plan is likely to include daily support group meetings. You’ll go to lectures to learn more about addiction and how it has affected you. There will be group and solo activities for you to do. You’ll have a combination of 12 Step principles and proven therapy methods as part of your daily schedule.

What I like about them is their women’s specialty track. This meets the needs of primary caregivers, those who are expecting and those who need to bring their children to rehab with them. Along with all addiction education and counseling, you’ll also be taught parenting skills.

Those who’ve been treated there have had mixed experiences. Some say the staff are caring and treatment has changed their lives. Others complained about the place not being cleaned regularly and poor communication with loved ones.
