About Choices Counseling Center

Choices Counseling Center is a community based outpatient provider in Winter Park, Florida offering counseling for addiction, compulsive behaviors and mental health concerns.

The center treats depression and anxiety, PTSD and trauma, eating disorders and dysfunctional family systems for teens and adults using psychodrama as its core therapeutic modality.

Since 1985, Choices has focused on whole person healing that connects emotional processing, recovery community involvement and practical sober living skills.

Psychodrama Centered Addiction Treatment

Choices Counseling Center specializes in addiction and co-occurring behavioral health treatment, with psychodrama positioned as the heart of its clinical approach.

This experiential method helps clients access underlying emotions and patterns linked to relapse, compulsive behaviors and unresolved trauma.

Sessions blend individual, group and family therapy with guided meditation, art therapy and therapeutic games, letter writing and Twelve Step support. Clients have shared that the program helped them grow in ways traditional talk therapy had not reached.

Specialty Intensive Programs

The Extended Care Program offers structured intensive outpatient support with weekly groups, individual counseling, family involvement and required twelve step meetings, alongside coaching in employment, education and life skills like budgeting and meal planning.

Choices also runs monthly weekend and five day intensives, annual Men’s Weekend and Couples Weekend programs, and a specialized HIMS track for pilots navigating FAA recovery requirements.

Choices Counseling Center serves clients in person at its Winter Park office on Palmetto Avenue and online via Zoom across Florida. With roots dating back to 1985, the center brings decades of experience treating addiction, trauma and family dynamics.

The center operates on a self pay basis with multiple payment methods accepted and can assist clients in submitting claims for potential insurance reimbursement.
