About Phoenix House Florida Residential Center

The Citra Residential Treatment Facility in Citra, Florida, is home to the Phoenix House. They’ve been in operation since the 1990s. This is a residential recovery program that has gender separated services for men and women navigating a substance use struggle. Services you’ll find here will support you through a co-operating mental health or substance use challenge you might be facing.

This treatment facility takes a whole person approach to care and includes everything from withdrawal management services to recreational therapies. Through this, you’ll be encouraged to engage in activities that promote a life of health and wellness. Care is also offered in Spanish.

Part of their approach to care involves sports activities like tennis, volleyball, and a workout room. There’s even a full-sized pool for you to spend your leisure time as well. The schedule is not rigid here, and when you’re not in therapy or a counseling session, you’ll get to explore these different recreational activities.

The facility sits in the heart of the Sunshine State within the rolling hillside of Marion County. Located just under 30 minutes south of Gainesville, Florida, you’ll get to reflect on your therapy in some of Florida’s most serene landscapes.

Along with providing comprehensive clinical and person focused care, you’ll also have access to workshops and classes here as well. Different prevention and education services will teach you about the implications of drug use and how it impacts your mental and emotional health. You can reflect on your own experiences to get a full picture of how addiction struggles impact aspects of your life and the lives of your loved ones.

Overall, you can expect a well rounded approach to care here that will help you have a better understanding of substance use and mental health challenges. Through their approach, you’ll feel encouraged to develop recovery goals to focus on and what changes to make in your life to help you reach those goals.
