About McCabe Center

A New Entry McCabe Center in Austin, Texas has helped some of the most at risk people break free from the chains of addiction and stabilize their lives. They have a special interest in helping those who are currently or about to become homeless, those exiting incarceration, and military veterans. But their services go beyond addiction and offer support in various areas of their lives, such as housing. They’re in Austin, Texas.

A Foot in the Door for Work

Those who enter addiction treatment from dire situations often need a safe and stable environment, so this location has programs in place to help individuals find shelter and housing.

Having a roof over your head is only part of the equation—steady employment is also important to both sustainable recovery and self sufficiency. While you’re in this location’s SUD treatment program, you can also take advantage of their vocational assistance and get work ready when you’re ready.

Nourishing Your Body

This center doesn’t work alone in its mission to aid the most vulnerable people in Austin. For example, they’ve worked with the Central Texas Food Bank to feed those in their programs experiencing severe hardships. They keep in touch with the greater community to gauge need and expand the safety net they establish for clients beyond their own case management services.
