Endeavor House North has impressive accreditations from both CARF and The Joint Commission. They provide substance abuse treatment including detox, inpatient, and outpatient programs. They are located in Kearny, New Jersey. They accept Aetna, Optum, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and many other insurance plans.

Their detox facility is staffed by nurses and nurse practitioners and overseen by a physician. A registered dietitian oversees the meal plans that are served to patients. Clients get luxurious amenities that include a projector screen theater room, a game room, renovated fitness center and modern shared bedrooms.

Under the supervision of a medical doctor, you can have access to medication assisted treatment (MAT) while in inpatient care. This is an effective and proven method of combating opioid addiction. Your treatment will include any valuation, personalized programs, and getting started on Suboxone and maintenance. MAT is their method of helping you withdraw from substances. Most people take between 5-7 days for this process but your timeline may vary.

Many people step down from detox into residential treatment or enter this phase after a triggering event or relapse. Your treatment plan will be customized to your needs but may include individual and group counseling sessions as well as other therapeutic activities and exercises that will promote long-term recovery.

Their intensive outpatient program (IOP) helps people continue on with their recovery progress. It’s a structured educational program that is flexible so that you can live at home and work, study or attend to your responsibilities. You’ll meet for 3-hour sessions three times a week. I like that they offer both daytime and evening options. IOP can be a step down from residential care or can be an entry-level for those with mild substance use disorders. You’ll learn to identify and react to triggers, build healthy relationships, cope with stress, and deal with your emotions. Your treatment will likely have a mix of group therapy, meditation and wellness, and nutrition education.
