Baldpate’s core focus is safe, medically managed detox for alcohol and drug dependence. Clinical staff including doctors, nurses and social workers monitor withdrawal symptoms and utilize medications such as Suboxone for opiates and benzodiazepines for alcohol to ease discomfort and ensure patient safety throughout stabilization.

Treatment addresses both the physical and psychological aspects of early recovery. Sessions incorporate individual and group therapy alongside relapse prevention planning, helping patients understand their substance use patterns while building a foundation for next step care.

Recovery Support

Beyond detox, Baldpate integrates cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing into inpatient programming. Patients work with clinical staff to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, strengthen motivation for change and develop coping skills. AA/NA meetings are also available on site to introduce peer support and 12 step principles during stabilization.

The program is Joint Commission accredited and has over 75 years of experience providing addiction treatment services in Massachusetts. Insurance may be accepted and the admissions team can explore payment options during intake.
