About Boston Rescue Mission Outpatient Counseling
Boston Rescue Mission Outpatient Counseling is a faith-based program in downtown Boston offering outpatient substance use counseling.
It serves adults affected by substance use disorder, homelessness and incarceration, including a dedicated veterans program.
As a longstanding organization its mission is to help people at risk achieve healthy self-sufficient lives through recovery-oriented, whole-person support.
Outpatient Addiction Counseling
Boston Rescue Mission provides outpatient counseling for individuals working through substance use disorder, especially those who are unhoused or living in recovery-oriented housing.
Counseling is embedded within a broader continuum that includes sober beds, sober living communities and aftercare-style support.
Treatment pairs counseling with trauma-informed case management, helping participants build recovery goals around housing, employment and family reunification.
Referrals to inpatient treatment and transitional housing are also available, so care meets you wherever you are in the recovery journey.
Recovery Support and Optional Spiritual Care
Beyond counseling the Mission integrates recovery with sober housing, job readiness and housing stabilization.
Spiritual counseling, mentoring and fellowship are offered, though participation is never required to receive services. The organization also provides animal-assisted therapy through its “Paws for Serenity” program.
