About Family Service Association Behavioral Health Center

In the heart of Fall River, Massachusetts, the Family Service Association Behavioral Health Center has been helping individuals and families navigate emotional and psychological challenges for decades.

The Behavioral Health Center offers a range of diagnostic and outpatient services for those dealing with a wide range of mental health and substance use concerns. It operates as part of the historic Family Service Association, a community based organization that has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of local residents.

Expert Providers Serving the Whole Family

Services are available for children, teens, adults, and seniors. I’m particularly impressed by the care team’s qualifications. Providers include licensed therapists, nurse practitioners and a psychiatrist all working together to support clients at all ages and stages of life.

The clinical team helps clients manage depression, PTSD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, trauma and relationship issues among other challenges.

Inclusive, Flexible Treatment for a Diverse Region

The Behavioral Health Center focuses on outpatient recovery, offering individual, group, and family therapy along with psychiatric evaluation and medication management. I appreciate their focus on flexibility. Clients can attend sessions in the office, at home or even in their schools or workplaces.

Staff members are multilingual with services available in Portuguese, Spanish, and Khmer to support Fall River’s diverse community. The center has been licensed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health since 1985 which speaks to their community roots and long-standing credibility. The facility accepts most third-party insurance plans including MassHealth, and referral forms for children and adults are available on its website.

You’re not alone as you work through addiction in Massachusetts. Individual therapy gives you a professional who’s on your side to help you build a new life. Individual focuses on improving both behavioral and emotional health. You may explore thought processes, develop motivation to change, and/or explore past events that may have played a part in your substance use.
