About Liberty Place Recovery Center for Women

Liberty Place Recovery Center for Women is a long term substance use treatment program in Richmond, Kentucky offering women a structured path to recovery through residential care, transitional housing and aftercare support.

Part of the statewide Recovery Kentucky initiative and operated by Kentucky River Foothills, the 108 bed program serves adult women experiencing or at risk of homelessness while struggling with substance use disorders.

Liberty Place blends 12 step principles, peer support and life skills training to help women build lasting sobriety and stability.

Recovery Programs and Classes

Treatment begins with the Safe Off the Streets entry phase, followed by motivational tracks and structured recovery phases that gradually move residents from dormitory living into on site apartments.

This phased model supports women through stabilization, recovery skill building and preparation for independent living.

Programming includes recovery dynamics classes and criminal thinking groups, individual and group counseling, trauma informed care, peer mentoring and support for co-occurring mental health concerns.

Residents also participate in community meetings, daily living skills training and rotating work responsibilities to strengthen accountability and reintegration.
