About Project New Start – Esther House

Esther House is a faith based women’s recovery home in Newport, Arkansas operated by Project New Start as a supervised, residential drug and alcohol recovery program.

Established in 2006, this nine month to one year inpatient program serves women working to overcome addiction through structure, community and spiritual transformation.

Rooted in Biblical teaching, Esther House combines recovery home living with life skills education and relationship rebuilding.

Admission begins with an assessment application that is reviewed before acceptance, and applicants may enter from home, a hospital, jail or another facility.

Residents live on Project New Start properties under supervision within a nine month to one year residential recovery program.

Each day follows a structured schedule that includes chores and daily devotion, morning and evening life skills classes, work assignments and meals.

Residents also take part in Breakthrough Meetings addressing addiction, depression and anxiety, abuse and other life challenges, along with church participation and community service.
