About Community Intervention & Educational Services

Community Intervention & Educational Services is a nonprofit addiction treatment provider in Winston Salem, North Carolina offering outpatient care including intensive outpatient programs and partial hospitalization services.

They support clients and families affected by substance and mental health issues through evidence based and culturally responsive interventions.

DWI Services and Outpatient Therapy Programs

CIES provides outpatient therapy, intensive outpatient programs, and the 20 hour Substance Abuse Comprehensive Outpatient Treatment program.

The center also offers DWI services including the two hour Risk Reduction Class and four hour Drug Education School, Prime For Life motivational courses, and DOT/SAP evaluations for CDL drivers who have violated drug and alcohol regulations.

Help for Substance Use and Mental Health Issues

The center serves adults, teens, and families impacted by substance use, mental health issues, and behavioral challenges. CIES also supports clients with court ordered assessments and underage drinking charges along with DWI offenses or those needing certificates for probation or DMV requirements.

Medication Assisted Treatment and Therapies

CIES uses Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as Motivational Interviewing to support recovery, reduce relapse, and strengthen coping skills. Medication Assisted Treatment is also available to supplement therapy when needed.
