About Daymark Recovery Services Watauga Center

Daymark Recovery Services is a nonprofit organization providing behavioral healthcare services, including substance use disorder treatment for adults. They provide medication assisted treatment when appropriate.

Additionally, the Watauga Center in Boone, North Carolina, has youth services such as psychiatry and medication management, intensive home care services and routine outpatient therapy.

The organization offers an income based sliding fee scale for uninsured individuals. They also accept Medicare and Medicaid, and Medicaid clients have no co-pay. The center is less than a mile from downtown Boone, a vibrant mountain town with cultural centers, historic spots, and Appalachian State University.

Assertive Community Treatment

The center offers an assertive community treatment (ACT) team for adults. ACT teams include rehab, behavioral health and medical professionals who bring a team approach to the treatment of individuals with persistent mental illness.

The team helps clients 18 and older who, in addition to mental health issues, have problems maintaining employment and safe living conditions, and often have co-occurring substance use issues.

Intensive In-Home Services

The intensive in-home program intends to help children and adolescents avoid placement outside the home. To be eligible, a youth must have a mental illness or SUD diagnosis, as well as meet other criteria.

Services help reduce SUD or mental health symptoms, provide crisis intervention, and ensure connections to other services.
