About Ridge RTC Maine Farmhouse

The Ridge RTC Maine farmhouse in Morrill was once a substance use treatment center called Ironwood Maine. Today, Ridge provides residential services for youth who are in crisis. Youth are removed from an unstable and stressful environment with unhealthy influences to a serene and secluded home surrounded by trees and nature.

The home provides short term and long term residential programs. They accept several commercial insurances and offer a sliding fee scale. The Ridge is accredited by The Joint Commission and is licensed by the state of New Hampshire.

Therapies and Treatments

Youth enjoy equine assisted psychotherapy where hands on horse care improves responsibility, regulation of emotions and communication skills. Intensive treatment consists of individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy and psychiatry sessions.

Teens ages 12 to 18 are taught how to live healthy lives with physical activity, enjoy nature and eat healthy. In addition to talk therapy, the teens receive outdoor experiential therapy, yoga therapy, music therapy and art therapy.

Substance Use Disorder Treatment

Trails provide the teens with opportunities to hike, bike and snowshoe. Teens with substance use disorders will have specialized treatment, since each teen has an individual treatment plan. Through active therapy at the farm, teens learn how to enjoy sober activities.
