MDI Behavioral Health Center is a hospital affiliated outpatient behavioral health program in Bar Harbor, Maine providing mental health and co-occurring care for adults, adolescents and families.

The center offers substance use disorder therapy, psychiatric evaluation and medication management, individual and group therapy, and trauma informed services.

Founded in 2001 as part of MDI Hospital, the program is built on professional, confidential and supportive care that integrates physical and behavioral health for the Mount Desert Island community.

Substance Use Disorder Therapy

The center’s core focus includes substance use disorder therapy delivered within a co-occurring care model, recognizing that addiction and mental health conditions often go hand in hand.

MDI Behavioral Health Center provides in person outpatient care at its 3rd floor office on Main Street in Bar Harbor, serving Mount Desert Island and surrounding communities Monday through Friday.

As part of MDI Hospital, the center offers access to broader hospital billing and insurance, financial assistance and health insurance counseling resources.
