Hickey House is a sober living and recovery program in Helen for adult men in Georgie who are recovering from alcohol and drug addiction.

The program combines structured residential living and life skill development. They’re a 12 Step program focused on recovery accountability to support lasting sobriety.

Hickey House offers a safe environment where residents can address the psychological, spiritual and physical aspects of recovery while rebuilding daily responsibilities.

Sober Living for Men

Hickey House provides transitional housing across six homes near the headwaters of the Chattahoochee River with residents progressing through living opportunities over the length of the program.

The gender specific model centers on employment and accountability. They emphasize and require daily recovery participation.

Residents follow a highly structured routine that includes curfew and chores. They’ll also receive weekly random drug and alcohol testing.
A resident manager is always onsite to offer support when needed..

New arrivals begin a probationary period with peer mentorship and a buddy system then earn increased privileges as they demonstrate compliance.

Recovery With Responsibility

Hickey House also helps residents reintegrate into everyday life.

Residents work full time or complete equivalent community service while the team assists with job searches and transportation to medical appointments and court dates.

Clients who are on probation or parole receive specialized assistance to meet court mandates and facilitate their community reentry.
