About Turning Point Residential Services

Turning Point Recovery Resources is a 12 month residential addiction and mental health recovery program. They specialize in assisting clients with developing the skills they need to find and maintain gainful employment so they can live a sober lifestyle.

This is a men’s program for those who are at least 18 years old. The program is in Gainesville, Georgia. The treatment home is within walking distance of convenience stores and a pharmacy.

Embracing Change Through Addiction Treatment

If you’re interested in the program, there are a few basic requirements for eligibility. You must be 18 and a male. The program is based on the 12 step model of recovery, so you must be willing to get a sponsor and honestly work on the 12 steps.

You’ll live in a group environment and share a room with one other person. The rooms have individual air conditioning and heating for your comfort. A manager is on site 24/7, and they use video surveillance with a key fob for exit and entry.

Gainesville has lots of shopping, parks and community resources that you can integrate into your recovery program. Don Carter State Park offers lots of opportunities for outdoor activities, including hiking.

Ensuring a Substance Free Future

During the program, you must be willing to maintain employment. When it’s time to transition out of the program, having a job will help ensure an independent lifestyle. Each week, you’ll attend alcohol and drug counseling, which is led by licensed, certified counselors.

You’ll engage in individual and group counseling. Clients attend therapeutic and educational activities daily. Some of these activities include Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and relapse prevention classes.

Clients offer the program mixed reviews. Some clients expressed concerns about management and the program’s approach. Others felt the program offered a supportive environment with comprehensive recovery education.
