About Atlanta Mission The Shepherds Inn

The Shepherd’s Inn, operated by Atlanta Mission in Atlanta, Georgia, is a downtown men’s shelter and recovery support program that integrates housing with counseling, life skills and spiritual care for adult men.

The program serves up to 450 single men daily who are seeking stability after homelessness or substance use challenges.

Atlanta Mission takes a whole person approach, blending shelter, structure and recovery supportive services under one roof.

Social Services and Life Skills Classes

Admission begins with an in person prescreening held Monday through Friday at the Mills Street gate.

Because The Shepherd’s Inn is not a medical detox setting, applicants must be fully detoxified for a stated minimum period before entry.

Once admitted, men can expect counseling, clinical and process groups, social services and life skills classes.

The program also offers recovery education, job support and continued counselor connection after program completion.
