About Buckhead Behavioral Health

Buckhead Behavioral Health is a Joint Commission accredited outpatient addiction treatment center serving adults in Atlanta, Georgia. The facility focuses on substance use treatment and co-occurring mental health care, also known as dual diagnosis services. 

Clients have access to a full continuum of care, ranging from outpatient detox through partial hospitalization programs, intensive outpatient services and step down rehabilitation. Buckhead uses an evidence based, multidisciplinary approach that blends psychiatric care, medication assisted treatment and clinical therapy. 

Dual Diagnosis and Integrated Mental Health Care

This model allows individuals to pursue recovery while continuing to manage daily responsibilities at home or in sober living environments. Buckhead’s primary specialty is treating substance use disorders alongside related mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder. The center provides onsite psychiatric services, including medication management delivered by a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Medication assisted treatment options may include Vivitrol, naltrexone, and Sublocade.

This integrated care model ensures that mental health and addiction concerns are addressed together by a coordinated treatment team. Clients receive consistent support across every phase of care, helping reduce gaps in treatment and improve long term outcomes.

Treatment programs combine individual counseling, group therapy and family sessions with evidence based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and trauma focused interventions. Additional supportive services may include brainspotting, neurofeedback, and red light therapy.

Buckhead Behavioral Health serves the Atlanta metropolitan area and also welcomes clients from outside the state. In person services are available at the Peachtree Road location, and telehealth intensive outpatient care is offered throughout Georgia. The facility is accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the Georgia Department of Community Health.

Buckhead works with most major insurance providers, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare and others.
