About West Virginia Sober Living

West Virginia Sober Living is a nonprofit recovery house and substance use treatment provider in Morgantown, West Virginia that combines gender specific sober houses with outpatient behavioral health services. Clients also receive peer recovery support and family programs with case management.

Clients and alumni value the structured community focused environment and the accountability that comes from certified recovery coaches that serve as house managers.

Sober Homes With Recovery Support

Their core offer is structured gender specific sober lives. This is accomplished with two men’s homes and one women’s home in Morgantown and outpatient behavioral health services that include counseling and drug and alcohol assessments. Treatment also includes peer recovery support and vocational counseling.

Case management and a family program is accompanied by trauma informed therapy and is tailored to each client’s needs.

Programs serve adult men and women who have completed primary treatment. They provide a substance free environment with behavioral health services support for adult and adolescent West Virginia residents with substance use and mental health concerns. Family members can participate through the family program.

Telehealth and Payment Options

WVSL is located in Morgantown with a broader network that extends to Charleston and offers telehealth for counseling and peer support which makes services accessible for rural residents and those with barriers to travel.

WVSL accepts various insurance carriers. They also assist with preauthorization and applications for coverage when needed with fees that run $600 per month for the first six months and $400 thereafter which makes support available for Recovery Housing Program participants.
