About Prestera Center – Laurelwood West
Laurelwood West was permanently closed in October 2025. They were a supportive living environment for men who completed substance use disorder treatment and were transitioning to independent living.
The program was operated by Prestera Health Services and was located in Huntington, West Virginia. The group living dynamic helped cultivate meaningful relationships with the other residents and increased access to different support mechanisms during your recovery. Treatment included the 12 Step model.
Ready for Work
While you worked on developing your sobriety skills, you could strengthen your recovery through steady employment. The program’s work readiness programming assisted you in cultivating work skills so you could land a job if you don’t have one already, making the transition to fully independent living much smoother.
