About Human Skills and Resources Inc Tulsa

Human Skills and Resources provides services in Creek and Tulsa counties, Arizona. Their center in Tulsa isn’t too far from the Tulsa Expo Center. They offer assessments, outpatient drug abuse treatment, therapy, DUI school, and medication assisted treatment (MAT). Their mission is to support recovery and reintegration to the community.

They work with folks with Medicaid coverage, select private insurance plans and self-pay. Reduced rates are available for qualifying clients.

Their evaluation for substance use is to give clients a diagnosis and outline recommendations to address their needs. At the time of writing, there’s a $75 cost for this service. Other evaluations available include anger, mental health, batterer intervention program evaluation and offender screening.

Their outpatient program runs daily and evening appointments to suit your schedule. You’ll attend at least nine hours of weekly group therapy sessions in their intensive outpatient program (IOP). The OP requires you to attend two group sessions a week. In both levels, you’ll also get two private therapy sessions each month. Case management and crisis intervention are available if needed. They can also provide referrals to community agencies and departments.

MAT is an opioid withdrawal treatment option. Clients in MAT will be enrolled in the outpatient substance use disorder treatment program and get buprenorphine to manage cravings and withdrawal symptoms. You’ll be closely monitored by your prescribing physician and have regular drug testing and pill counts. Generally, this program lasts 4-6 months, but if you need maintenance treatment, that may be an option.

You’ll meet with your doctor weekly in the early stages. You’ll also regularly have meetings with an RN for ongoing instruction and assessments. Payment for MAT is expected when you receive each service yet they can help you make a payment plan if you need it. Funding is available for those who meet income guidelines. They have a clear, no-hidden-cost price list upon request.
