OKC Metro Alliance FIRSTEP Men’s Recovery Program for adults in South Oklahoma City supports men recovering from alcohol and drug dependencies through a therapeutic community model/

The center includes relapse prevention and work-recovery programming to help men live with greater independence after treatment.

FIRSTEP is built around the belief that lasting sobriety happens when men have time, structure and community to rebuild their lives.

Long-Term Recovery for Men

FIRSTEP’s specialty is extended residential treatment that pairs sober living with meaningful work and life-skills development.

The men’s campus offers 66 resident beds plus 20 single-occupancy apartments in the Men’s Lodge, set on a sprawling acreage near Lake Stanley Draper.

Daily life blends counseling, therapy, peer-led 12-step meetings and structured work-recovery activities.

Residents also have access to parenting classes, Alpha mentoring, Step Action classes and onsite GED opportunities, helping them address triggers, rebuild relationships and prepare for life after the program.

Therapeutic Community and Reentry Support

FIRSTEP serves as a practical alternative to incarceration accepting referrals from Drug Court, jail-alternative programs, attorneys, counselors, ministers and 12-step communities.

Transportation is provided to work, services and meetings, supporting steady reintegration into the community.

Residents may gain recovery knowledge, learn healthier relationship strategies and feel more hopeful about the future.
