About Healing House Recovery Community Center
Healing House Recovery Community Center is a peer led recovery support hub in Kansas City, Missouri, offering resources and community connection for adults committed to long term sobriety. Located at 112 S Elmwood Ave, the center provides recovery coaching, support groups, care coordination, employment assistance and life skills programming in a welcoming space designed to support ongoing recovery.
All services are led by Certified Peer Specialists and Family Support Specialists with lived, or family experience of substance use disorder.
Continuum of Peer Led Services and Recovery Coaching
The Recovery Community Center offers a continuum of peer led services, including support groups, 12 step meetings, recovery coaching and care coordination. Clients can access both traditional and faith based group options, plus Training and Wellness programming that incorporates yoga, art therapy, improv and social skills development.
Beyond meeting support, the center provides practical stability services such as assistance obtaining identification and Social Security cards, SNAP enrollment, health insurance applications and on site meals.
