About FCC Behavioral Health – Serenity Pointe

Serenity Pointe of FCC Behavioral Health provides gender specific substance use treatment for women in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Women who are 18 years of age and older, are pregnant or postpartum, and women with children in custody can receive treatment. This CARF accredited program prioritizes family centered recovery in a trauma informed environment. Private insurance and Medicaid are accepted. A sliding fee scale will be available for those who do not have insurance.

Healing For Women and Children

The women and children’s CSTAR program provides a continuum of care that includes Level I residential treatment. You will be in a home like setting that offers 24/7 support. You will participate in individual and group counseling with family therapy as needed.

They use evidence based treatment like cognitive behavioral therapy alongside life skills training in parenting, anger management and relapse prevention. I like that the program includes therapeutic activities for children to ensure that mothers and their children can heal together.

Blending Treatment

Their partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient programs (IOP) provide structured support for your transition to daily life. You will have a flexible schedule that blends therapy, peer support and education. Their outpatient supported recovery and transitional housing will provide you with ongoing care and stable living arrangements post treatment.

Medication assisted treatment (MAT) with FDA approved medications is available for individuals who are struggling with opioid dependence. I appreciate that they also have holistic activities like fitness, cultural and community events to enhance your overall well being.
