Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse of Northwest Louisiana (CADA) is a nonprofit, CARF-accredited substance use disorder treatment organization serving Shreveport, Bossier City, and surrounding parishes since 1958. Comprehensive Substance Use Disorder Treatment in Northwest Louisiana
CADA provides residential and outpatient programming for adults struggling with alcoholism, opioid addiction and other substance use disorders. Treatment integrates individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy, with an emphasis on rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT) to address both behavior patterns and underlying emotional triggers.
The organization’s continuum of care model ensures clients can step up or step down levels of support as needed, with confidential screening available seven days a week and a 24/7 admissions phone line. CADA serves men, women and young adults, with specialized programming for co-occurring disorders to treat addiction and mental health conditions together.
Mobile Crisis Response and Peer Support
CADA operates a Mobile Crisis Response Team serving nine parishes across Northwest Louisiana, available 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily.
