About CADA Adolescent Treatment Center (Closed)

CADA’s Adolescent Treatment Center was located in Shreveport, Louisiana. This was a drug recovery and treatment facility that served children and adolescents who were struggling with substance abuse. The organization has since closed its doors, but when they were open, they accepted Medicaid.

Care was offered in a residential treatment setting and there was a mixture of cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT) and evidence-based services to help children as they recovered from the different challenges they were facing.

When the CADA Adolescent Treatment Center was open, it helped provide a stable and supportive place for children to receive quality and comprehensive care for a range of addictions and behavioral health challenges. Children who had underlying mental health struggles were also served here.

Many parents who had children in this residential facility say they appreciated the safe and supportive environment it offered. Their children were treated kindly, felt motivated, and were empowered to take charge of their recovery,

Family counseling and addiction recovery services were also emphasized here. This allowed kids to have the education and supportive network needed to help them succeed after they finished the program. There was also an academic program with dedicated staff and teachers. This allowed children to keep up with school even as they went through recovery.

Your child would have had the opportunity to practice recovery skills like learning how to identify triggers and manage stressful emotions. They were especially supported through different social settings and social triggers that are typically associated with relapse.

Your child would have had real world tangible skills they could apply to their life both inside and outside of the residential treatment settings. They were set up for success through a foundation that valued them, their interests, and their goals.

The residential facility was close to downtown Shreveport, and it was easy to visit your child if they were receiving services here. Even though the center is closed, CADA has another center in Shreveport on Fairfield Ave. There are other facilities nearby that can help you.
