Higher Ground Wichita is a nonprofit substance use treatment provider in downtown Wichita, Kansas, offering outpatient and intensive outpatient care since 1995.

The program serves youth, adults and families with substance use assessments, education classes, evening groups and continuing care rooted in evidence based and family centered approaches.

The program serves adolescents ages 12 to 17, adults 18 and older, and families or significant others affected by substance use.

Higher Ground also offers Spanish language services through The Pueblo Path for Latino adults and supports court referred clients and those in domestic violence treatment.

Higher Ground is housed in a beautifully restored 1920s building in downtown Wichita at 247 North Market Street, offering a warm, homelike atmosphere.

The organization serves culturally diverse populations in and around Sedgwick County, with street parking and visitor spaces nearby.

Do they take insurance or self pay?

Higher Ground is a certified Medicaid provider and is approved by most insurance companies, including Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna and KanCare MCOs.

Payment assistance is available, though sliding scale is not offered.
