About Community and Family Resources STARS Adolescent Program

Community and Family Resources STARS Adolescent Program is an adolescent substance use treatment program and supports young people and their families through recovery.

Substance Abuse Treatment for Adolescent Recovery and Success offers a full continuum including residential treatment, intensive outpatient with room, outpatient groups and aftercare.

The program uses personalized and family focused planning to address substance use, emotional health and long term recovery skills.

Adolescent Addiction Care and Aftercare

Care often begins with a same day confidential substance use evaluation at the Fort Dodge outpatient clinic, where a counselor works with the adolescent and family to determine treatment intensity and length.

Residential treatment typically lasts 30 to 90 days with 50 or more hours of weekly programs.

Adolescents can also step into a 12 week intensive outpatient track or an extended outpatient program followed by aftercare.

Treatment includes individual, group and family sessions, relapse prevention and evidence based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and dialectical behavior therapy along with mental health support.
