About Rosebud Sioux Tribe

The Rosebud Sioux Tribe is a federally recognized tribe of Sioux people in the United States. They are located in south-central South Dakota, in the present-day U.S. state of South Dakota. The Rosebud Sioux Tribe has a reservation that includes all of Todd County and parts of Tripp, Mellette, and Gregory counties. The total land area of the reservation is 988.3 square miles (2,560.9 km2). The capital of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe is the town of Rosebud in Todd County, South Dakota. The Rosebud Sioux Tribe is a member of the Great Sioux Nation.
