About Our Home Parkston

Our Home Inc is located in the safe and friendly small town of Parkston, South Dakota. They operate multiple residential addiction treatment facility that work exclusively with adolescents.

The facility in Parkson is designed for female youth aged 12-17 who are experiencing substance use and mental health challenges, as well as behavioral issues and involvement in the justice system. Our Home accepts several payment types, including Medicaid and state-funded referrals, making the program accessible to families who might otherwise be priced out of care.

Programs Built for Real Change

While some youth-focused programs feel temporary or disconnected from real-life challenges, Our Home leans hard into helping kids build sustainable habits. Treatment is individualized and evidence-based, focusing on co-occurring disorders, trauma recovery, anger management and re-socialization.

At this center, they don’t keep kids isolated in separate therapy rooms. Students attend school on-site, participate in recreation activities and engage in life skills development. This teen rehab stands out for the level of day-to-day structure and wraparound support they provide.

Family-Focused and Future Minded

In researching this program, I notice how Our Home purposefully blends clinical support, education and life skills training into one cohesive program. Because Our Home works with schools, human services, and juvenile courts they are not just treating symptoms. They are helping kids plug back into life, whatever that looks like for them.

Our Home Inc places a strong emphasis on family involvement, which is essential for helping residents support systems heal and rebuild. Past clients mention how their time at Our Home led to positive transformations, from increased self-esteem and healthier decision-making to stronger interpersonal relationships. Parents appreciate the supportive staff and the individualized care their children receive.
