Adult and Teen Challenge New Mexico Men’s Campus is located in Tijeras, New Mexico. They provide a Christian-based residential addiction and recovery program for men to address and treat co-occurring mental health issues and substance use disorder.

They offer low-cost treatment and services for men 18 and older in their year-long program. They are located in a standalone facility in a remote, desert community called Sierra Encantada. You can access I-40 for transportation to and from your treatment. They are also close to many natural landmarks including Wildlife West Nature Park, Sandia Crest and mountainous regions in New Mexico.

Peer Recovery Services and Counseling

I like that they focus on peer recovery services and providing one-on-one counseling to address past traumas and what may have led to your addiction. They offer parenting classes, relapse prevention education programs, spiritual guidance and drug and alcohol education.

They also offer anger management treatment to teach you coping and life skills development so you can learn how to process challenging situations more healthily.

Judgement-Free Living for Spiritual Healing

I love that the facility is safe, comfortable and clean. It promotes judgement-free recovery with the goal of long-term sobriety and whole-person healing. It also promotes developing healthier habits including nutrition, exercise and healthy relationship development.

Without the development of these important life skills, people are often tempted to return to negative behavior patterns and unhealthy habits. They are also aware that sometimes relapse happens. Therefore, they provide referrals to community health programs and services that may assist you with any acute care needs to help you get back on track to recovery.

Therapies

Individual Therapy
Overcoming substance use is easier if you’re not alone. During individual therapy in New Mexico, you’ll have a professional ally who will help you see things in a new way. Some of the topics covered in individual therapy include developing healthy coping skills, addressing past events that may have played a part in substance use, and building a support network.
Group Therapy
Group therapy in New Mexico is generally led by a professional who facilitates clients sharing about their experiences and emotions. Substance use treatment includes detox, inpatient treatment, and outpatient care, and group therapy may be a part of each of these stages. The goal is to help clients support each other, provide accountability, and relate to each other’s experiences.
Individual Mentoring
