Using a dual-diagnosis approach its counselors treat substance use, mental health concerns and problem gambling through therapy, early intervention and prevention for individuals, couples and families.

This community-based agency meets you where you are combining multiple supportive services under one roof to address the whole person, not just a single diagnosis.

Dual-Diagnosis Addiction Treatment

Heartland Family Service specializes in outpatient addiction treatment delivered alongside mental health care recognizing that substance use and co-occurring conditions often go hand in hand.

Numerous counseling formats are available with services for children, adolescents, adults and seniors who may also be navigating past trauma.

Treatment draws on proven approaches including CBT, DBT, EMDR, motivational interviewing, the Matrix Model and a 12-Step-based framework.

Sessions incorporate relapse prevention planning, brief intervention and contingency management to address both the underlying causes and daily challenges of recovery.

Problem Gambling and Trauma-Informed Care

Beside substance use Heartland Family Service provides dedicated problem gambling treatment and trauma-related counseling.

Its counselors support clients facing conduct, identity and other behavioral or emotional concerns, offering approaches like anger-management counseling and trauma-focused therapies for lasting change.
