About Weems Lifecare
Weems LifeCare is a Mississippi substance abuse treatment program operated through Weems Community Mental Health Center in Meridian serving Lauderdale County and the Region 10 area.
The program supports adults 18 and older with residential care, outpatient services and an adolescent intensive outpatient track, treating substance use alongside co-occurring mental health concerns.
As part of a full community behavioral health system Weems LifeCare connects recovery with broader support so clients can heal at every stage of their journey.
Residential Addiction Recovery
Weems LifeCare’s core offering is its 36-bed, 30-day residential program designed for adults facing more severe substance use issues located behind the Weems main center.
A secondary residential track offers extended care up to 60 days allowing clients to continue working during the day while remaining in treatment.
Treatment blends proven approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, trauma-focused counseling and Matrix Model programming.
Clients participate in individual counseling, group and family therapy, substance use education and relapse prevention, addressing both the roots of addiction and the skills needed for lasting recovery.
Peer-Led Recovery Support
Beyond residential care Weems offers a 10-week intensive outpatient program with three evening group sessions weekly, plus individual counseling, family involvement, and a state-approved DUI program.
Recovery support services run before, during and after treatment, featuring weekly support groups and guidance from Certified Peer Support Specialists who are in recovery themselves.
