Alternatives for Life Treatment and Recovery, LLC is a Mississippi Department of Mental Health licensed, CARF accredited opioid treatment clinic in Jackson serving opioid dependent adults.

The program combines medication assisted treatment with counseling to address opioid use disorder in adults 18 and older.

Since 2005, ALTR has provided focused and physician supervised care designed to help patients build lasting recovery.

Medication Assisted Treatment

ALTR specializes in outpatient opioid addiction treatment, offering multiple MAT pathways including methadone, Suboxone and buprenorphine, Subutex and Zubsolv.

The clinic’s physicians are American Board of Addiction Medicine certified with extensive experience treating opioid addiction in Mississippi.

Care begins with screening and assessment, followed by an individualized treatment plan that pairs physician managed medication with counseling and withdrawal support.

Sessions may include tapering plans, comfort medications and relapse prevention planning to address both the physical and behavioral sides of dependence.

Counseling and Ongoing Support

Beyond medication, ALTR provides individual opioid counseling along with group and family sessions to strengthen recovery.

The clinic also offers case management, community resource referrals and aftercare focused on healthy living, therapeutic support and life skills, helping patients maintain progress well beyond initial treatment.

ALTR delivers in person outpatient care from its Jackson office on I-55 North, with early weekday clinical hours that work well for patients balancing treatment with jobs and daily obligations.
