About 202 – The Friendship House

The 202 The Friendship House is a nonprofit community recovery clubhouse providing a safe and sober meeting space for Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon programs in Nashville, Tennessee. Known locally as “202,” the clubhouse hosts dozens of peer support meetings each week for people in recovery from alcoholism and their loved ones.

Since December 18, 1963 the organization has served as a gateway to recovery offering a welcoming refuge where help is always available at no charge. Both in-person and Zoom meeting options are available. There is no charge for attending meetings or accessing support and the organization welcomes donations and offers an optional annual membership.

Peer Led Recovery Meetings Seven Days a Week

The house centers on AA and Al-Anon group meetings providing consistent access to peer support every day of the year. With more than six decades of service to the Nashville recovery community the clubhouse offers a reliable clean environment where people can connect, share experiences, and build sobriety together.

A Safe Space for Fellowship and Connection

Beyond scheduled meetings 202 offers social spaces for informal fellowship, a concession stand, free internet access, and recovery literature and medallions. Clear house rules and a detailed harassment policy maintain dignity and safety for all who walk through the door.
